“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.”

Proverbs 22:6 (ESV)

Our Mission

The Clay Road Baptist Preschool offers educational programs for three and four-year old children with a uniquely biblical approach that builds toward future success in the classroom. The early years are the foundation for a lifetime of learning!
Our first goal in Preschool and Pre-Kindergarten is to teach children in a safe, nurturing, and godly atmosphere, placing an emphasis on prayer and Bible study in the classroom. Our children hear Bible stories daily and memorize Scripture weekly to recite in front of their peers! Our weekly chapel services lay the foundation for a life of faith and fellowship for years to come.
From listening skills to circle time, from phonics groups to mathematics meetings, our weekly themes promote beneficial skills in the lives of our students that will greatly impact their transition to elementary grade levels.

In The Classroom

Every week, our children learn and focus on a new letter to prepare them for reading and writing in grade school. This is done with the aid of hands-on crafts and activities to promote understanding.
Another concept preschoolers learn is mathematics. Counting, sorting, grouping, and patterning are some activities that allow them to begin critically thinking. We focus on learning calendar days and counting them, learning months of the year, the children’s birthdays, and days of the week to build on these skills. The children will have group times where they play counting games, use manipulatives to enforce math concepts, and use fine motor skills.
Sound like a vast amount of learning? Yes, and it’s exciting! Your child will enjoy school because learning through play is FUN! All preschool activities are age appropriate and the activities your child will experience are on a level where fun meets education. I hope you are excited about this year! It will be an experience you and your child will always remember.
