What to expect

What to Expect:
We want your experience with us to be relaxing and refreshing! So there are a few things you may have questions about that we would like to answer.

How should I dress?
CRBC is a church of variety…feel free to come dressed up or dressed down. You’ll fit right in whether you are wearing khakis, business casual, jeans, or a suit.

What about my children?
CRBC has a place for your child whether they are a newborn or a high school senior. Preschool programs are available throughout Sunday morning Bible studies and service. Children’s programs are available during Sunday morning Bible study and then for children’s church. Junior high students and up have Sunday morning Bible studies and then attend the worship service with their families.

What happens on a normal Sunday morning?
Sunday mornings are a relaxed and enjoyable time. Our Sunday morning Bible studies start at 9:30am for children through adults and end around 10:30am giving you some time to regroup with your family, visit with new friends, and prepare for worship.

Our worship service begins at 10:45am and typically lasts 65 to 75 minutes. The service begins with a time of worship blending contemporary songs and traditional hymns. There is also a time of greeting during which you can relax as members of CRBC make their way to you to introduce themselves and get to know your name.

We do have a time of offering where CRBC members give of their income to the ministries of the church; please know that we do not expect our guests to feel that they must give in this offering. Instead, we ask that you fill out the “connect card” found in the church bulletin and drop it in the offering as it goes by. We use these cards as a way of getting to know you and promise not to harass you. In fact we have free gifts for all first and second time visitors!

As the music portion of our worship service concludes, we enter a time of teaching where biblical principles are brought to light for daily application. At the end of this teaching time an opportunity is presented for those desiring prayer, those wanting to accept Christ, or those wanting to become members of CRBC to come forward and meet with the pastor or designated church members who can help them in their decision process.

After this time, service is dismissed and people mingle for quite a while and others rush to see who has lunch plans! Our pastor will be at the back of the sanctuary greeting other guests, answering questions, and distributing the free gifts. He looks forward to speaking with you!

What happens on a typical Wednesday?
Wednesday nights are a time to be together with family and friends. It starts at 5:00pm with our $5 Wednesday night meal. All are welcome to come and eat, but we do ask that you rsvp your spot by Wednesday at noon so that we make enough food!

At 6:00pm the different activities begin! For adults, there is the Pastor’s Bible study in the same place where you just ate and lasts until 7:00pm! For junior high through high school, Contrast meets upstairs until 7:30pm, and normally hangs out until 8:30pm playing games, talking, or whatever craziness insues. For children there is JAM or AWANA which meets until 7:30pm.

At 7:15PM, the choir and orchestra meet to rehearse Sunday morning songs and upcoming special music.

If you have preschool age children, we do have childcare on Wednesday nights.
