Come experience Children's Church
Adventure 22:6
“
Train up a child in the way he should go,
Even when he is old he will not depart from it. ”
Proverbs 22:6
What age group is Children's Church aimed at?
Currently, we are focusing our programming to capture the attention of first through fifth graders.
Can parents come and participate in Children's Church?
YES! We love it when parents come and experience our children's church with their child. This can be very helpful if your child has never been to Adventure 22:6 before, or if you are interested in volunteering with the Adventure 22:6 team.
What are the procedures for dropping off and picking up students?
We ask that parents drop their child off at Children's Church personally. If you have already dropped your child off for Sunday school earlier that morning, their teacher will walk them to Children's Church.
When picking up your child, please come personally to Adventure 22:6 to get them. We will only release a child to an adult listed on the Child Release Form (see the important safety notice below). When you pick up your child, you will receive review questions covering the lesson and the memory verse for that day. We may also hand important information out to parents about upcoming events or other news.
IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE
We are aware that there are unfortunate circumstances where families may be battling custody issues or other concerns. For this reason, and the safety of the children, we are asking that parents fill out a Child Release Form providing information on whom may pick up your child. Although it may take a few minutes, it is well worth it when considering the children we love so dearly.
How are behavioral problems handled in Children's Church?
From time to time all children will act out or display poor behavior. It is our desire to lovingly teach children how to live as Jesus did, but sometimes poor behavior can be a hindrance to the other children in the room. For this reason, we have a 3 Strikes Policy. Children behaving poorly will be given 3 warnings (simply stating "Strike 1" to a child is normally enough to correct the behavior); upon receiving a third warning, or strike, the child will be lovingly escorted to the sanctuary to join their parents for the remainder of the morning.
As a parent, please know that we desire to support you in the godly rearing of your child; please assist us in identifying needs, behavioral trends, etc that we may need to be mindful of with your child.
Feel free to contact Lisa Clark in the church office with any questions you may have!
